Sean has more than 20 years of experience in the design, application, installation and manufacture of engineered electrical systems, including over 16 years specializing in lightning protection, electrical grounding, and surge protection. Throughout his career, he has conducted numerous field assessments and technical evaluations of industrial and commercial facilities to assess the performance and effectiveness of lightning protection, grounding, and surge protection systems.
His project experience spans a wide range of critical infrastructure, including chemical processing facilities, petroleum refineries, fuel storage terminals, water and wastewater treatment plants, electric power generation facilities, transmission and distribution substations, broadcasting and cellular communication sites, and nuclear power plants.
Sean is an active participant on the UL 96 Technical Committee and has extensive experience with UL Master Label applications and the requirements of nationally recognized lightning protection standards. He works closely with facility owners, engineering firms, and contractors to develop practical solutions that address each site's unique operational and risk requirements.
Sean believes that effective lightning protection requires a comprehensive, application-specific approach. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all philosophy, he evaluates each facility based on its operations, risk profile, regulatory requirements, and reliability objectives to develop the most appropriate lightning protection, grounding, and surge protection strategy. His focus is on delivering solutions that enhance personnel safety, improve equipment reliability, and minimize downtime while meeting the technical and operational needs of each customer.
