Luke Pettross has over 20 years of experience in lightning protection, grounding, and surge protection systems. As a Solutions Engineering Specialist for International Sales at Lightning Eliminators & Consultants (LEC), Luke works with industrial and commercial clients throughout the world to develop application-specific lightning protection solutions for critical infrastructure and operations. His responsibilities include evaluating client requirements, conducting technical assessments, and providing engineering-based recommendations for lightning protection, grounding, and surge mitigation systems across a broad range of industries.

Luke serves as a Principal Member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee responsible for NFPA 780, the Standard for the Installation of Lightning Protection Systems, helping to develop and maintain one of the industry's most widely recognized standards. He also works closely with industry professionals and facility operators to promote best practices in lightning risk management, grounding, and electrical protection.

Throughout his career, Luke has supported the design and implementation of lightning protection systems for critical facilities worldwide, including oil and gas operations, petrochemical facilities, mining operations, power generation, manufacturing, transportation infrastructure, offshore platforms, and other industrial applications. As part of LEC's technical team, he has contributed to the successful deployment of thousands of lightning protection systems in more than 40 countries, helping organizations improve operational reliability, personnel safety, and asset protection.

Luke attended the University of the Pacific where he obtained a degree in engineering and he continues to contribute to the advancement of lightning protection technology and standards through his work with LEC and the NFPA Technical Committee on Lightning Protection.
