Lightning Eliminators & Consultants Announces the Retirement of Daniel J. Hartt

Lightning Eliminators & Consultants, Inc.  is proud to announce the retirement of Daniel J. Hartt, one of LEC’s Installation Supervisors, following 47 years of dedicated service.

Born in Guadeloupe and raised in Haiti, Dan grew up assisting his father’s radio ministry, Radio Lumiere, where he first began climbing towers – an experience that would shape a remarkable career. After graduating from BIOLA College in Southern California, Dan joined LEC in 1978 and quickly became known for his skill, professionalism, and willingness to take on the most challenging installations around the world.

Throughout his career, Dan was always willing to take on the most difficult installations in the most unique parts of the world with a can-do attitude. He worked across North America and internationally, completing projects in countries including Nigeria, Venezuela, Israel, the Bahamas, Papua New Guinea, and throughout Asia and South America. Dan has done many different types of installations and supervised countless installations at  refineries, chemical plants, power plants, industrial facilities, buildings, stacks, and broadcast and communications towers.

Dan worked on some of the tallest and most complex structures in the world, including towers beyond the reach of conventional lifts and a television tower standing 1,750 feet tall. Known for his ability to work suspended at extreme heights for extended periods, he combined precision, safety, and technical expertise in every installation.

He also developed a specialized rigging technique that enabled Hemisphere Arrays to be installed without a gin pole, improving efficiency while protecting equipment from damage. Dan consistently upheld the highest safety and industry standards, supervising many configurations of LEC’s DAS system worldwide.

In addition to his technical contributions, Dan played a critical role in training and mentoring LEC’s installation supervisors, proudly passing on his knowledge and experience. As one of LEC’s global ambassadors, he represented the company with integrity and professionalism while building lasting relationships with customers around the world. LEC is deeply grateful for Dan’s loyalty, leadership, and nearly five decades of service. His expertise and presence will be greatly missed.

We wish him well and all the happiness that retirement brings!
